IF I create a model that uses warmachine parts, for example, legs and the rest is either sculpted by myself or 40k model parts would this be valid to use in any game even tournaments?
also are models that are totally(or for the most part) sculpted by an individual(not GW) to be used in tournaments?
Is this totally depend on where tournaments are held or are there at least rule of thumb for this?

The same question for old edition models that are still represented in new codex but still have accurate weapons?( I assume that you cannot use ones that do not match up with what they are supposed to look like, weapon or armor are different, etc)

A good rule of thumb is that scratch builds are ok, as well as extensive conversions as long as they don't use another company's model range in it's construction.

As with every factor regarding model allowance it's best to ask the tournament organiser for confirmation well ahead of the tournament date.
