Primary Colour for Tomb Kings

I've been painting my Tomb Kings lately, doing all the bone and I'm getting to the stage when I need to add a primary colour to the army. For example the traditional Tomb Kings usually have the hawk turquoise blue colour on their shields and various garments. I don't want to follow the normal colour though and so I'm thinking of what would colours would look striking.

I was thinking of purple but my regular gaming spot as a high amount of purple armies (Dark Elves, Undead etc) so I'm ruling that out. I'm not sure green is quite right and yellow would blend in to much with the basing which is desert looking. Red seems to be done a lot so not sure on that. What colours do you think would make them snap?

Bright grey or orange?
I've had my tomb kings for years and I'm still happy with red as the main colour after bone of course.
Red shields with gold trim. Looks really good when they are all ranked up. Red fronts on the chariots again with gold trim.
If it's done so it is not too bright it adds good cohesive colour to the army without being overbearing. A dull gold trim on them looks good too in my opinion. It goes well with the red and maintains that sense of regal riches the tomb kings had before they all became undead.

It's just my opinion I guess but I think it looks good, especially if it's done in a muted style and is not too bright.

It does look good, but I've seen them quite a lot and I've also been painting Word Bearers recently and really want a change from red.
I actually think green would work quite well so long as you didn't go too bright. Failing that, perhaps go black / very deep blue?
Navy? IIRC, there were several colours associated with the old cities, as written in the Mike Lee stories.

Zandri, Sea based.
Bhagar, ?
Kasabar, ?
Quatar; Red, heavy infantry
Numas; horse heavy
Mahrak; priests, white, lots of heirophants
Rasetra; Lizardmen fighters
Lyrabas; inventors

Those are the ones I can remember, sorry.

White might be good. I'd love to do the lizardmen tomb kings, not sure how to go about converting undead dinosaurs for them to ride though. Might hold off and see what happens with these new undead releases, perhaps I could do an Arkhan the black army or something.
For mine i use green and purple and it works quite nicely in my opinion, green and turquoise could also work well
I think I want to do Lybaras, what I have in my forces atm seem suitable for that city. I don't know the colour of them though. I found a description of a tomb guard unit in the latest nagash book which says they have a white tower on a gold rimmed shield, but I'm not sure what the background colour is, perhaps a desert yellow.
