my brother and me are making a SPACE BOAR army(using the space wolves codex)

and we made our own creation of bjorn the fell-handed

we want to have a decent story for this guy
(yes and we will change some of the paint job, etc.)

we call him Bjoar the left-handed
so we think he died because he was left-handed
but how is the question we want to ask you guys

rep for the one who gives the best idea

OK hmm he died because his right hand was lost in a battle and with his last breath he plunged his left hand into his opponent killing the opponent in the process but then the opponent plunged his weapon into him and he died left handed

Make it something like he lost the whole right side of his body like the Blood Raven in the novels, thats a very possible outcome for many marines, and considering he's in a Dreadnought, he's very old.

If your Space Boars are anything like the Wolves, Bjoar is very, very old, and is also very, very high ranked, which means the deed he went about to allow him to be honored in such a fashion must be extremely noble (Wolves tend to not /want/ to live for too long, becoming a Lone Wolf is almost a tragic fate for them)

If you're a split of the Wolves, you've got plenty of Enemy and Ally choices for his actions that led him to this fate, the best would be the Thousand Sons, Maybe Bjoar singlehandedly (pun intended) killed a Daemon Prince? or held back a flood of Chaos Spawn for his brothers, who were sure he was dead, only to find him alive enough to grant him the Honor of being a Dreadnought.

Mostly, i would try not to do anything /too/ amazing, as then you kind of Impede on actual storyline, Bjoar's actions had to be so encompassing that his Legend would live on in service of the emperor for eternity. the Death of a Daemon Prince would definately be a big win for any Marine Chapter.

so say Bjoar and his men faced off outnumbered against a Chaos horde, and trough quick wit and battle tactics found themselves faced to face with the Daemon scum, his men being the only few alive to tell the tail as Bjoar, the Left handed, Marred by his fate to have lost his right arm in glorious combat, took his powerful Axe/Hammer/what have you and viciously Tore through the Prince of Evil as though he were a man possessed, his inner blood lust seeking triumph and vengeance. strike after strike Bjoar and the Beast did make until the Daemon struck a crucial blow, rending a wicked sword through Bjoar as it exited from his armor, skewering him vicously. the Demon sneered before the soft chuckling echoed through the snowy and blood stained field as Bjoar looked at the beast fiercly, eye to eye, cackling like a madman as he raised his mighty power weapon and drove it though the skull of the beast, instantly sheering it in two and embedding the sword into the creature, ending its Wretched life in a final desperate attempt at victory. as the Beast fell, Bjoar's Company gathered him and patched him as best they could, unsure of his fate until the Boars returned to their homeworld, the retelling of this great deed in the name of the Emperor served as a testament for his entombment into the Steel War Machine.

Now, Bjoar the Left Handed continues to lead his Loyal Marines into battle, their fierce Devotion and admiration of his actions that day ensuring that they would protect him with their very lives, a tribute to the ultimate power of the Space Boars.

Well, looking at the base I think it should be something to do with Orks.

Bjoar was like no other Boar (blood) claw, he fought with the strength and speed of a thousand men and in the midst of battle, a lone swipe from a chaos/ork/darlek severed his left hand before he could finish him. As a result, he always took the left hand as a trophy from foes before smiting them down, as a stark reminder of his superiority, even when evenly matched, both without their left hand, he was able to defeat any foe, all except one. In a battle against a Chaos Lord/Warboss/Davros he took the right hand before he was about to slay him but just before Bjoar could slice of the left hand, he was killed by the very means that kept him lusting for blood. The left hand of the enemy was what had brought Bjoar to his knees. The enemy had long escaped and Bjoar was reborn in a Dreadnought, Bjoar the left-handed as a constant reminder of the oath he had sworn, to complete his quest and find the left handed traitor/xeno/inter-dimentional being! Only then could he finally rest besides the Emperor/Russ
