Blood Angels
Total 1370 Points

I can’t figure out what to add to bring 1370 points to 1500 points, I’m considering an anti-tank 4 missile devastator squad, or perhaps a death company dreadnought with blood talons.

Head Quarters

Reclusiarch – 130
(Rides with the Death Company)

Elites

2x Sanguinary Priests - 100

Triple land raider has been done for a long time now in 5th ed and frankly it is pretty terrible, especially at a points level like this one.

The Sanguinary Priests and Power Fists on the Assault squads aren't what I'd optimal - you're spending all of those points to make 10 marines more survivable. You'll also be lucky to even swing that powerfist against anything half decent in CC.

Also, *way* before you consider giving a LR a Storm Bolter, Extra Armour should be a priority. Raiders are meant to deliver units into CC and if they can't get there, what good are they? You have spare points though, so I guess you could spend them on that.

That said, vanilla Raiders generally aren't the way to go because they don't bring all that much firepower and want to sit back anyways...

Anywho in 1500 I'd suggest sticking with 2 (Crusader or Redeemer) Raiders (at the most...this setup usually works best at >1750 pts) because as it is you have very little to stop your opponents from getting into melta range and popping those land raiders.

Another problem is that you're lacking in the anti-tank department - guard lists will give you a *lot* of trouble.

So my question is: are you entertaining the idea of scaling down to a dual-raider list? Because if not, all you can really do is hope your opponent is lacking melta weaponry lol.

I'd agree. I dropped my LR at 2000 points.

You want larger squads in Rhinos. 2 or 3 x RAS with a couple of special weapons led by a fist and a Priest in a Rhino is about 300 points & way better, move 18'' pop smoke & you're good. Keep the Priests as they are - naked. They're already an expensive 1 wound IC and you want them at the back buffing your troops for as long as possible.

Those 10 scoring models won't be enough to hold an objective and won't really make a dent when they charge either. The DC are ok, but I'd throw in a few body bags, right now as soon as you lose one it's costing you a TH/PF/PW.

Both DC Dreads & ML Devastators are good options too.

I'd drop at leat one land raider, maybe 2 and have a lot more small units in razorbacks surrounding it making more survivable with a cover save. Also some anti tank would be good, pred with lascannon sponsons and autocannon turret is only 5 points more than an ML devastator squad. Could one of those pretty easily. Also attack Bikes. they are great at popping tanks if you're playing mech

Thanks for your replies, I took out a land raider and buffed out the troops squads a bit. I don't have that much anti-tank but since all of the units have at least one powerfist I don't think that'll be too much of a problem once I'm in combat.
