I was at work the other day, walking in with a GW bag (and the great feeling of owning a new battleforce) when one of the guys i work with (he's about 25) says "Oh, warhammer, that's awesome, i used to play but don't have time now." And i was shocked because he doesn't seem like the plastic toy soldiers type. not because he's 25, just the feeling i get from him. anyone else meet someone and later find out they played/collected something you didn't expect?

(later that night one of the girls at work made fun of them and me but i laughed it off in her face - pretty funny when she backed off)

I worked in the ship repair industry in Papua New Guinea. No-one else that I knew of in the entire country played 40k. A marine surveyor i know needed to use my pc and saw the shortcut to gw. As it turned out he collects CSM's like me. Who would have thought?

I was working at my job (sandwich shop) when a 30 something woman walked in with a large blue book I thought for a second "no, couldnt be". She ordered her sandwich, and when she put the book down I noticed it was Blood angels codex. I was shocked, she was a soccer mom!

Blood Cougars FTW!

Anywho...about 4,000 people work where I work. I walked into one of the labs and a guy was reading a Black Library book. Yup, he plays. Have not gotten together for a battle since he lives a ways from me.
