Hi,

I have a few sets of Kromlech's greatcoat German orks and I am going to paint one set with German uniform grey from Vallejo model colour acrylic paint.

Can anyone recommend a wash I could use with this paint Games workshop preferably or any others?
I was thinking of painting their trousers a beige colour to match my other snakebite orks? any other suggestions. I have never painted any German figures.

Thanks in advance

Nuln oil is probably the best go to wash for shading the gray coats. I think I'd use a mix of nuln oil, lahmian medium, and water.

Thanks for the advice Kreuger - I have Nuln oil but don't have lahmian medium - what does it do the mixture I've never used it before?

Lahmian medium is like acrylic matte medium. It thins out the pigment, reduces the gloss, but doesn't thin the consistency.

Here's the explanation from Liquitex .
