Paint Progress. Dark Angel And Imperial Guard

hi i've almost finnished making all of my dark angels and imperial guard.
i have started to paint so i thought id share with you

all need finishing touches but all are about 95% done

Looks good mate maybe the exhaust tops could be done straight bolt gun or black as you have and dry brushed them bolt gun. Just a suggestion

the exhaust tops are going to be rusted and then blacked in places

I like to robe on th guy above (not knowing the DA is this a champion? or veteran) are you going to lowlight hist robe to show shadow?

well he started as a champion but i have a much cooler one of those built so he is now a vet sarg.

i strugle with highlights and stuff so i get to a point were im happy and looks good for the gaming table after all thats what its for : - )

yeah for a quick highlight you can dry brush white which would only pick up the protuding ruffles of the robe, just for your info:wink:

Your army looks good, although some quick highlights would really bring it to the next level. Hit the robes and light tan with a watered down ink, maybe brown or flesh wash. But make sure you water it down. Then hit the high points with a bleached bone and he'll look great. You could also do a quick dry brush of Snot green on the Pred and it will really pop. Over all thumbs up dude!!!

So far so good but I have to agree with bl0203 in that you need to work on some highlights to really make the models pop.

Nice and neat. But I agree with bl0203..., you could use some highlights to "finish" off your army. Keep up the good work!
