Was pondering this after seeing the CSM update list, to see what the opinion for updates might be, good for the old orks.

  • Update to Mob rule (less self murder, or a way to stop quite so many tests being taken maybe bring back the boss pole re-roll moral with one hit/casualty)
  • Re-addressing of boys pointing (6 points in the current climate is still not quite cheap enough, maybe removal of stikk bombs bringing them down to 5 base, with options for shootas being 2 per model and stikk bombs for 1. Leaving armor at the 4 points seems balanced)
  • possibly re-address the death-roller (the ram is actually better with the armor 16 ramming trick)
That's about all, any thoughts overall i like the new codex just needs a little tidying and trimming.

ork updates, my thoughts

what I would like to see come back would be the "if the squad numbers more than 10 they are fearless" this I believe would solve the issue about points cost maybe even lift the number to 12 so a fully loaded trukk.

this would keep with the narrative of the ork race, brave when they're with their mates but cowards when their numbers are fewer.

Army wide access to eavy armour.
Quite a decent idea this, the only real units that can't are the specialists such as lootas, burnas and tankbustas might benefit quite nicely from that option, but not too sure on the balence for the army with that idea.

Only other thought i just had would be to give back some of the ability for conversions to the player. Mainly with options for the looted wagon, would love the idea of having the options for stealing of the weapons from other armies or at least more options for them.

Having attended an ork only get together with another forum recently at Warhammer World, what was really apparent wasn't the desire for small tweaks, apart from maybe to mob rule, but a supplement that covered the ork clans.
Instead of Waaagh! Ghazkhull, which should have been part of the original codex, a supplement should be released that covers the clans, with variations, just like chapter tactics, available for each one.
TBH, had GW done that, it would appear that there would have been a lot more happy ork campers.
