thanks much, djinn

well, seein' as wraith said i could...i present my marine razorback and (because the guard were feelin' left out) one of my two sentinels...the one i actually took the time to build correctly....

i'm pretty sure this particular model represents my first attempt at anything resembling freehand...what can i say, i'm still learning.

right, well, now i've posted pics of every vehicle i own done well enough to even think about entering....

Here are a couple of my better-looking vehicles. Vehicles really aren't my strong suite as far as painting goes.

Baneblade "Our Lady Deliverance"

Lions Rampant Predator Destructor, Armoury

Lions Rampant Land Speeder, 8th Company

Lions Rampant Assault Marine on Bike, Squad Diodore, 5th Company

Different army. Space Marines don't have Baneblades... figured they'd be fighting alongside some guardsmen or something if the Baneblade is around. I do have a couple platoons of guardsmen for apocalypse so it isn't completely outrageous that the big guy is there.

hehe, neither do i, but that's half the fun, right?
Exactly. Its the taking part that counts.

And good effort guys, this is really coming on track. Wraith will be pleased.

I have no chance:cray:
Apologies for the double-post, I just saw this.

It's not about the competition-- in fact, the Open Painting part of the Paintathon isn't a competition at all-- it's about showing off your best and feeling good about the best you've done in a given category.

I printed it out on paper, than glued it to the plasticard. Than covered it with a piece of clear masking tape. If you use the thick roll used in taping up boxes its usually think enough to cover the entire area of the plasticard leaving no tape lines. Than just trim the tape and fold them around to the back of the plasticard...and there done.

@asianavatar

That really is a cool effect.

Have you thought about adding in a bit of shading across the panels and perhaps weathering them a little to look more integrated with the rest of the vehicle?

I guess if you have any image manipulation software you could invert the image to be white linework on a black background to further blend in with the rest of the tank.

Great work though - I might have to try that myself sometime :)
