Hi

It would have to be a fairly arrogant and arsey club to insist on using in-production models only. As long as the model has weapons and armour appropriate to what's in the current rules and you make it clear what they're supposed to be then that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm afraid that 8th Ed Warhammer is rather different from 6th ed., so if you're reading the old Rule Book, you might need to be shown the new rules by someone at the club. I think most clubs would be happy to show a newbie about though :) OOP models are usually not a problem at all, as most of the models are similar enough, however old they are. Perhaps if you gave us a bit more detail on what army you're playing, what models you have and so on, we might be able to help you a bit further.

Good luck learning the game :)
