Nurgle army lists

Hey guys, I just finished my Tyranids army and I am now looking onward to making an army of plague marines. I am looking for a good list that is very nurgley, and I am also wondering how you guys go about to making your chaos models to look like.. nurgle! If you have any tutorials/models of your own somewhere I would really like to see them. Also how exactly do you go about having nurgle-like rules? I've seen that plague marines have feel no pain, so how would this affect other types of units?

Hail,

For modelling tips and pointers regarding Plague Marines, you should make that post in the modelling section. For army lists, here we go:

HQ1- Daemon Prince, Mark of Nurgle, wings, Nurgle's rot(165)

HQ2- Daemon Prince, Mark of Nurgle, wings, Nurgle's rot(165)

Troop1- 7 Plague marines, Plague Champ, powerfist, 2x meltaguns, rhino(256)

Troop2- same as Troop1 (256)

Troop3- same as Troop1 (256)

Troop4- 7 Plague marines, Plague Champ, powerfist, 2x flamers, rhino(246)

HeavySupport1- 2 Obliterators (150)
1494 points.
The Obliterators are the only non-pure-Nurgle unit, but they do give great firepower.
If you are unable to make a 1500 point army, and would start at say 1000, just drop troops 3&4.

Good Luck and hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, what exactly do marks of .. do? I'm not asking for the rules or anything, but do they grant anything useful to someone who has it?
Hail,

Indeed they do grant useful things. Mark of Nurgle gives +1 toughness. There are other applications to certain units, but again, this is the army lists, ask that question regarding marks in the 'General 40k' section, for full debrief on what the various 'Icons & Marks' do...

go with world eaters list, but for a little less nurgly, give one prince warptime.
Hail,

Actually, warptime isn't god specific(except can't work with Khorne), so maintain the MoN and warptime is still good. Four out of five Daemon Princes are considered psychers once a psychic power is purchased for the DP. On my previous list, just remove both Nurgle's Rot and give 1 DP warptime if that floats your boat. Many people on this Forum agree that warptime for a DP is very effective.
