[Jacobite]

Here is the first test model I did up for my Deamon Hunters. They are Grey Knights who aren't Puritan. The full story for them can be found here.

I'm not sure what to call them yet. The names I have with are:

Night Watch (already a chapter called that though its small though)
Black Knights
Black Watch (yes I know its a real regiment)
The Black Ones
The Dark Ones
The Black
The Dark
Sons of Nyx
Nyx Watch (Nyx was the Greek goddess of the Night)

I'm thinking of going with the Nyx Watch just because it is basically the same as the Night Watch. Thoughts?

Anyway here he is. The pics aren't that good. Grey Knights are really hard to take pictures of.

Unfortunately after I finished him I varnished him. Without shaking the can enough... To make a long story short, he was white and I had very bloody knuckles. So he's been stripped back to the metal. But the good thing is that now I can do all the marines exactly the same.

Go with Sons of Nyx, and make a character called Nyx or summink.

Looks good, I'd say go with Sons of Nyx. Like the idea behind Nix Watch,
but it just doesn't sound as good as Sons of Nyx. Might have something to
do with that nix looks and sound an awful lott like the Dutch 'niks' which
means 'nothing' :wink:

I would dearly love to Wraith however when I went to varnish him I didn't shakes the can up well enough. First time using the stuff you see. So unfortuantly the model turned out like he had walked to the South Pole and back... and my hands were pissing with blood. So basically no unless you like the look of bare metal.


Thanks guys for the name ideas, I had narrowed it down to Sons of Nyx and Nyx Watch. I think I'll go with Sons Of Nyx (with the Nyx pronouced as it has a 'a' in it: "Nyax", just to make it sound more dominating but still keep the orginal spelling)

No the blood was pissing out of my knuckles from me punching things in a blind rage.

I wasn't pleased. But I learnt my lession.
