Just a quick question. Would Dark Eldar Night Shields reduce how far away a melta weapon would need to be in order to recieve the extra D6 to pen? (I.E. would meltaguns essentially not work and multi-meltas need to be 6" away?) Not that DE vehicles really NEED melta to be shot down, but it's still nice to know.

I would say it does affect meltas since it adding additional 6 to how far it is, thus you have to be within 6 to rapid fire it. So a melta would never get it's additional d6 (not that it needs it). A multimelta would need to be within 6 to get 2d6 armour pen and an inferno pistol can't even shot at it.
