Hey everyone! It's awesome to finally be a member of a community as passionate about Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k as I am! I guess I should start off by saying a little about myself. I am currently a student going for a degree in video game design, but I'm also an aspiring writer. Really my dream is to be discovered by the Black Library professionals and be hired as a writer for them. Granted, that's merely a dream, and one I'm sure many of us share. I am working on a 40k short story and will be starting up a Dark Heresy campaign soon. I fully plan on submitting that short story in the near future to the fiction thread.
Since I am working on a short story, and I'm a little noob-ish when it comes to the technical aspect of 40k tech, does the barrel of a lascarbine actually heat up through use like a normal ballistics weapon?
