Thats weird I'm pretty much in love with the new Possessed - I mean at least this time they are plastic and multipart unlike the previous ones which look like they should have come out in the early 90's.

As far as those Possessed go, they are exactly what I picture in my mind when I think Chaos Marine or when I read the books. Faces in the armour, mutations, etc. Not just arrow shaped trim and spikes on the armour. I can honestly see myself making an entire army out of those models

Is it just me or has anybody else wondered where the spikes and trim have come from on their armour? We have seen the Pre-Heresy armours and I don't see no spikes.

The idea of all the space marines sitting down and nailing spikes and trim to their armour is hilerous.

I like the new Khorne lord quite a bit. Planning on using him as the champ in my Berzerker squad.

The previous possessed looked like cracked out 80's rock stars. Iggy Pop after being dead for a week comes to mind. They are horrid, who's the ass who ok'ed their production? The new possessed look pretty good. I made my own Plague Marine possessed......I used Deathguard bodies and the old possessed sprues and then tacked on wings instead of the backpack. But now that possessed abilities will be randomized(must be the same moron who thought the 80's punk rocker look fit the possessed), it kinda blows my wing conversion out of the water.

afraid not, some of it has to do with sculpts (Khorne geezer, Raptor guy) and the spawns are generally because they just look silly, if it ran upto me in battle I might die by a fit of giggles and thats it.

I really like the spawns. I cant wait to see how much they cost (points and cash) and how the rules work. I've heard the rumours but seeing's believing!

It's part of the way Chaos works. Some overpowering aspect of chaos desires spikes on everything, and chaotic reality sycophantically obeys.
