Ok I'm a girl and new to 40k so don't make too much fun of me! Anyways here is my first BA 1750 pt list, I was hoping you guys could give me your thoughts on it and tell me if I'm headed in the right direction. Here it is:

HQ: Gabriel Seth - 160 pts

Elite: Furioso Librarian Dreadnought - 190 pts
Extra Armour
Might of Heroes & Wings of Sanguinius

Terminator Assault Squad - 200 pts

Sanguinary Priests x 3 - 246 pts
Jump packs x 2
Storm Bolters x 2
Terminator Armour & Power Sword x 1
Melta Bomb x1

Troops: 10 man Assault Squad - 225 pts
Meltagun x 2
Infernus Pistol

10 man Assault Squad - 225 pts
Meltagun x 2
Infernus Pistol

10 man Assault Squad - 225 pts
Meltagun x 2
Infernus Pistol

Heavy: Land Raider Crusader (Terminator dedicated transport) - 275 pts
Multi melta
Extra armour

So that's it. Plan is for Seth and terminator priest to team up with the terminator squad and run around in the crusader for some speed before assaulting and annihilating whatever they come across (hopefully). Assault squads will probably DoA in and hopefully pop tanks with the meltas before running around with the 2 jump pack priests and assaulting whatever is left over. Librarian dreadnought because its just plain fun, will also help out the priestless squad if needed.
What do you guys think?

I'd say Assault sergeants would be much happier (and deadly) with some kind of special CC weapon (PF, PW or LC is up to your preferences).

And both Land Raider and Librarian Dread, being the only targets in the first round, may have tough time enduring enemy shooting. LR will probably be fine, but Dread may have issues. And, if your enemy has enough long guns to crack the Crusader, termies will have tough time walking to enemy without storm shields. So I'd advise to toss in a couple.

Other than that, nice list.

It's nice of her to say it, why would we need to know someones from England, or a novice, or anything?

I think you'd be better off with a Storm Raven instead of a Land Raider. It will help transport the Libby'naught, and your Termies still have a good chance of getting off an assault from the ramps. Drop the Termiepriest for a normal priest w/PF, and you're all fitting too!

I think you are gonna regret deep striking the 10man squads assault squads. Even with DoA
you are gonna find yourself Deep striking onto enemy troops a lot. Likely loose the entire squad or at least get them delayed.

In my opinion you should only deep strike small squads of 5-6 men with melta weapon.
run the rest in Razorbacks with twin linked lascannons or simply with twin linked heavy bolters.

cheep, fast razorbacks are one of the new blood angels' best assets.

Also as Shwartz have already said your sergeants could use some melee weapons like power fists of power weapons.

I think the infernus pistols are kinda overkill on the assault squads really. They're not great for their points, especially compared to the standard meltaguns. Drop them for some CC weapons because as the priests have the only CCW that can ignore armour they will be targetted quickly and taken out

Other than that I really like the list.

I'm the only girl I know of who plays here :p I've been discussing this on another forum, and the list currently looks like this:

HQ: Libby with termie armour and shield, unleash rage and shield of sanguinius - 145 pts

Elites: Assault termie squad, 2 with hammer/shields, crusader transport with multi melta and extra armour - 485 pts

3 priests, 2 with jump packs and storm bolters, 1 with termie armour/power sword - 241 pts

Troops: 10 man assault squad with jumpacks, 2 meltas and lightning claw - 225 pts

10 man assault squad with jumpacks, 2 meltas and lightning claw - 225 pts

10 man assault squad with jumpacks, 2 meltas and lightning claw - 225 pts

Heavy: Predator with side sponson heavy bolters - 100 pts

1746 pts all up. Termies will run in the crusader with priest and libby - OUCH. Would love to give sergeants power fists but simply don't have the points *sigh* I also wouldn't mind taking vindicators but I REALLY can't find the points for that lol.
Ayways what do you think of the new version?

Death Star looks better now, and you're more target-rich, that is also good.

But AC+HB loadout... There is a lot of anti-personnel power in your list already. With Crusader's sponsons and 30 assault marines, 4 heavy bolters are somewhat of an overkill. So I'd suggest dropping MM from Crusader and storm bolters from priests - it'd give you enough points to turn at least one Predator into Rifleman Dreadnought (2*TL Autocannons). That'd give more serious long-range anti-armor punch.
Or, if you don't like it, at least give meltabombs to the assault sergeants.

P.S. Scattering big blasts don't work well with DoA assault squads, anyway. So leave Vindicators for full-mech build.

I think if you're gonna use the baal's fast movement you won't use the heavy bolters all that much. move them up 12" and they can fire one of those weapons. Now if you're gonna have them slightly more static then that's a good set up.

The assault squads are good but the sergeant's weapons don't really work with the guns. Drop 2 meltaguns to flamers and you can change one lightning claw to a power fist. that way you have a squad dedicated to anti infantry, 2 flamers and a claw, and one dedicated to anti tank, two meltaguns and a fist. the other assault squads can be a kind of balanced support to the other 2 then, depending on which one needs help.

I would put powerfists in your assault squads. You will be eaten by MC's and dreads if you do not manage to bring one down with fire alone.
