I will be starting an IG army soon and need ideas for conversion. Everywhere I look somebody is doing cadians and I am tired of it. I want my army to look diffrent. I will be buying cadian models but need ideas. This will be a siege army so im thinking trenchcoats of some kind. Any idea or even pictures for inspiration is appreciated.

You could do Tau/IG army.....come on!
Trench Coats have been used to much in my oppinion. You could just slap on some gas masks or...just look up any ww1 army.

Use Scout fatigues, or Catachan Legs, with Cadian torsos.

Or, use Marauder torsos with Cadian legs, to make skirts/kilts.

Or, use Empire legs.

Or, convert them, with GS, to Valhallans or Mordians.

Recent one i was considering. ( I already have traitor guard though) Full army of chaos cultists using empire flagellants as the troopers. Had not fleshed out the rest of it but that is my plan for my next infantry platoon.

if you want trenchcoats, the forgeworld death korps of krieg are good models, and they are siege and trench warfare specialists

although Forgeworld are a little expensive

as for heads, pig iron do so nice helmeted heads with gas masks, here

If you want a more 'tecky' look you could always use some SM scout heads and weapon load-outs. You know, shotguns and the like for the cqb aspect of siege warfare.

check out kromlech.eu they do some alright looking heads with gasmasks aswell

Yeah the Death korps of krieg sounds alot like how you descriped what you want. It may be a bit expensive but i think that theeir totaly worth it. The miniatures look great and you will have a outstanding looking army.
