Hello!

I need some help with naming my c.ustom chapter.

I am definate in that I want it to start with 'Paladins of...', I just can't think of what :headbutt:

I was thinking Steel, but that may be mostly because I can't think of anything else. I did think of something like 'Hammerfell', which could relate back to where they are from or something, but not sure on that.

The colour scheme at the moment is Kommando khaki main, with either red or blue shoulder pads and green trim. Of course this may change. I would like the idea of a more grey/metal/steel colour scheme, but wouldn't want it to be too dark, boring or dull. Any help there as well would be appreciated.

Fluff wise I want them to be a heroic chapter, defenders of imperium, noble, champions, along those lines. Crusade-like, non-codex chapter. Possibly exceed 1000 marine limit.

Thanks in advance,
Jack

Well what do they do? What is their lore? What type of culture do they come from? Idk why but Order of the Mailed Fist? "Paladins of the" seems like it's been done a lot. If I knew more about the chapter it would help.

Paladins of Justice :p
A bit cliche don't you think? Lol

Which is why I said it and put the lol. Otherwise I would have just sent a facepalm.
That's what I was going for.
When you've finished ladies :p

Ignore those two jokers  and Give us a bit of background on them if you can and we'll see what we can come up with

Why not build something into their fluff that they are protecting, or give them something they are crusading for.

i.e

Paladins of the sacred lance

Paladins of the crimson tide

alternatively go with Paladins of AWESOME

I've only ever seen one other chapter with 'Paladins' in the name, and thats not in my area, so for my area its not so commonly used :) In regards to 'Order of the Mailed Fist' I do like the idea of a name structured like that, so that could be a good starting point.

Well, I did only start my idea on them literally half an hour before posting this (could have been a bad decision, but oh well :p ) So I will be working on the fluff within the next few days. So far all I have about them is in the first post, I know it's not very descriptive, but those are my base ideas, sorry i can't give much more at moment.

Another good idea mate. It would be cool to have a chapter that specialises in something, like Crimson fists against orks, or closer to your idea, the Iron snakes safeguarding the Reef Stars. Maybe I could even say they are exploring beyond the known systems, because thats what they were created for, or maybe they are looking for something, or someone? That could be interesting, and a challenge?

well i like the hammerfell idea, paladins of hammerfell, from the inhabited space hulk, hammerfell rock
Not sure on the space hulk, but that was basically the idea. Maybe their planet was detroyed, so they are seeking vengeance? Or it was lost in a warp storm and they are trying to find it? And they could be a fleet-based chapter with a fortress monastary 'Hammerfell' on another planet? If the planet was destroyed that could tie in with my idea on Varakirs post about expanding beyond the known universe, possibly because an unknown alien (or alien hybrid of an already discovered alien species) destroyed the planet and withdrew beyond the known realms of space, and they are in pursuit?

Thanks for all the replies guys, +rep to people who have helped so far :victory:

If you wanted to do that, you could go with Paladins of the Aether (pronounced ether).

Aether was used in greek mythology to describe the 'upper sky', the place where the gods lived, separated from mere mortals.

edit for: CHIPS!
