I need some help making a ork list 500, 1000 and maybe a 1500
my friends are very casual and dont care about specifics on the characters if you say it has something(like a sm with a bolter can have a plama gun if you want)

ork troops i have :
3 ork kopters
54 ork shoota
2 ork powerclaw
5 ork lootas
43 ork grots
2 meckanics
1 guy with a big gun dunno if special :/
1 warboss/ Ghazghkull w/ runt
1 dreadnaunt
3 killa kan
1 bike

Well heres my attempt for making some lists out of youe models.

Thinking for the idea for the 500 point list to have:

● two squads of 19 boys plus nob with powerklaw.
●two solo deffkoptas with rokkits
●basic warboss with nothing
●5 man squad of lootas

Thats exactly 500, boss would go with one of the boys squads. The deathkopters are harassing units, or last minute objective grabbers.

The thousand point list is basical the same:

● basic warboss power klaw and eavy armour
● warboss with bike and power klaw (too go with the deathkopters)
●two meks with kombi skorchas (one each to go with boys)
● two squads of boys with nobs and power klaws (squad size of 23 and 24 plus nob)
●small squad of 10 gretchin and runtherd
● 3 deathkoptas with rokkits
● 3 kans; thinking 2 zookas and a big shoota
●deffdread with 2 klaws, and 2 big shootas

Everything would be on foot, bike boss would be with the koptas until a target might be found. Other would go with one of the boys squads. Meks to help with 'naughts to keep them alive and do damage.

The 1500 is a little difficult don't think theres quite enough for an effective list.
This all just comes to 1173 points. Would prefer to have more boys and some transports.

What do you think? Basically thinking that you need more boys and less toys. Thinking along either enough boys for a horde army 90+ or transports based ones.

So your saying get more orc boyz or transports for them? And 500 and 1000 is perfect just a little confused on the thousand one on what im being (was that 100 or 1173) but yes this helps out alot ehat would you go with? Transports or tons of ork boyz

It really depends on the meta in your area that you are playing. In my old meta I was stomping everyone with tons of boyz and dakka. I moved to a new area and they are all fast armies that zip around blasting my boyz to bits while I deal little damage in return. So my suggestion would be find what your area is like and tailor your list for it.

we are using 2, 6ft by 2ft tables put together with 3 sets of heroscape terrain and a bunch of their expansions. i really wana make cool maps to play on

Well what i wrote up was what i could do with what models you said you had, thinking for an effective list more models may be required thats why it was only 1173 points not the 1500 you requested. Personally id go with some more boys and some transports to carry some of them. Either a few wagons or a couple of trukks.

With that base you could play 1000 pts easily, but shoulds till need some buy. Orks are not a cheap army...

at 1500 pts i'd suggest the green tide formation + a single ork detachment

3 trukks with a force field to protect them, transporting hard hitters, followed by an horde of FnP dudes with 6 claws in the midst. Gretchins to secure a couple of objectives, maybe. Mostly they act as cheerleaders. Instead of one unit of tankbusta you could take 3 units of 1 Deffkopta with twin rokkit, fro some degree of speed and objective grabbing. spared points could beef up the horde.
