Having a friendly game this week against an Ork player at 1000points level. I know he will be fielding a Battlewagon, Def Koptas and Megaknobs so have tried to make sure I have relevant units to deal with these.
My list so far :

HQ
---
Master of the Forge (Conversion Beamer & Bike = 155

Troops
------
Tactical Squad (10)
- ML & Flamer
- Razorback + Assault Cannon = 245
Tactical Squad (10)
- ML & Flamer
- Razorback + Assault Cannon = 245

Fast Attack
-----------
Attack Bike
-Multimelta = 50pts

Heavy
------
2 x Vindicators = 230


Tactics
The two tac squads are combat squads with the ML teams at back field holding objectives if needed and shooting Armour to start with followed by troops after.
Razor back troops are used to contest other objectives with Assault cannons shooting troops.
MOTF sits back field shooting the battle wagon asap with help from the attack bike if needed. Vindicator pummel the contents of the battle wagon.

This leaves me with 75 points left over which I'm a bit stuck for options, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Just as an after thought, Models aren't a restriction as we are both proxy units already :)

Hmm, overall the list looks pretty good.

With the points you have i would run another MM AB. they generally work better in numbers (seperate squads) outside of that, if hes gonna be running a BW, i would suggest trading out the razorback ACs for LCs. You want to pop that bad boy before it can unload some nastiness.

From what you say though, he wont have alot in the way of boyz (by ork standards) which is what i found most effective at 1000pts for my orks. At that point lvl, a green tide is just hideous but you might catch a break. the meganobs will be your biggest concern so you want to get some PFs and PWs in there somewhere, maybe drop a vindi. i love vindis and i like that you have 2, but if i were going to pull for points, thats where i would do it. or just take out the ABs all together and add some more tanks or another tactical unit.

My only other concern is your HQ, wheres he going to go? i would possibly take him off the bike and put him with a tac sqd. but thats only a suggestion since i feel as though he would be riding with the attack bike at the moment.

another choice would be is since he will have mega nobz, drop the attack bike and take those other 75 points and get him a retuine of bikes with some power weapons/fists. those nobs are a nasty hammer, you will need something that can stand up to it.

With your MotF on a bike by himself he could get hit and doubled out, but we are talking orks and shooting so it would have to be REALLY lucky. The extra 75 points would be good with a speeder MM/HF. Fast hit and runs against the battlewagon and troops. I would make one of your AC razorbacks a Las/Plas. It will provide backup for dropping the wagon and hurting meganobz.

im just impressed with the way you spelled megaknobs. like door knobs.

i might run 3 auto hb preds for 255 pts and change out the motf for a well equipped captain or a librarian with avenger and smite (mekkkaknobs), tag him with an advancing razorback tac squad.

Thunderfire cannons rock against hordes. 4 str6 blast templates! That ussually gets me like 12-16 dead orks each cannon per turn.
