Getting the Codex should be your priority then, since having an army without a Codex is like owning a car without a steering wheel.

Yet I'd pretty much always recomend a resurection orb with a Nec lord.

For a lord on Destroyer body, it depends on what you want it to do. Being it is a fast unit, you don't want to have it sit around your warriors protecting with the res orb.

Personally a destroyer lord is a unit that cuts off enemy assaults from happening. As a result, a Warsythe is a must in my opinion. Additionally, the one that provides the envon save... warp field I believe, as that makes you an excellent independent character hunter.

Destroyer body, warscythe, phase shifter and solar pulse, give him a unit of scarabs and go wreck somones day.
