Name: Terramarines
Founded: Early founding (3rd- 4th)
Chapter founded from: Believed to be Dark Angels
Fortress monestary location: On New Terra, planet in the segmenton solar which is similar to Terra before Hive cities. Local creatures are natives, ones cloned from stored Terra DNA, and imported Death world, used to train and kept under control by the Terramarines and local IG, 63rd Terran grenaders.
Traits: Varies (see organisation) taken from courages, wise, zealous or pious and disadvantages are only Die standing (due to large numbers of damaged droppods) OR (not and) Eye to Eye (seen as improper way to fight).
Colour scheme: As my avatar.
Symbol: Black shield shape with space in the middle with a black circle in. Represent protecting New + Old Terra.
Notable features: Had a large Choas conversion, who formed the Terror Marines, which current number stands at 500 marines, 200 of which have been killed so the legion relies on traitor guard. Every name and all known details is carved into the Black wax of the black list by one who knew them as loyalist to remind the Chapter how choas can affect any of them. The Terramarines will divert great strength into killing any Terror marines.
Organisation: Companies are split up into what they contain, with the Heavy, Mechanised, CC, Scout, Vetren and ancient companies providing all specialists, while HQ and Troop companies provide general comand and support. Terramarines can take differant traits to represent different 'mixes' of companies. This formed from different types training in different places , heavy+mechinised in open spaces, CC+ scouts in forest+ jungles and vetren + ancient(dreadnaugt and terminators) training in training grounds in cities.

Any C+C apriciated. Also would it be worth getting a dark angels codex? You can see my army list here: http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3230

A dark angels successor chapter strays very little from the dark angels as all successors are part of the Inner circle, and so as a tip a. buy the codex b. make it so they are definatly or not at all from the dark angels=] good idea tho

Name: Terramarines, 'Unforgiven' like all Dark Angel chapters, 'Disgraced' due to it's Chaos conversion.
Founded: Early founding (3rd- 4th)
Chapter founded from: Dark Angels
Fortress monestary location: On a planet unofficially named New Terra, as the the first settlers called it, or Tempest, due to the endless storms which rage over the capital (I called it this because the Dark Angel homeworld, Caliban, is named after a character in William Shakespeare's play The Tempest),a planet in the segmenton solar which is similar to Terra before Hive cities. Local creatures are natives, ones cloned from stored Terra DNA, and imported Death world, used to train and kept under control by the Terramarines and local IG, the Tempestrians or Terran regiments.
Codex: Dark Angel
Colour scheme: Sergeants as my avatar.Other marines have Dark angel green helmets.
Symbol: Black shield shape with space in the middle with a black circle in. Represent protecting New + Old Terra.
History: Once a young and reckless successor chapter of the Dark Angels, this all changed when the 500 youngest and most reckless marines led a insane droppod assault on the forces of chaos. Only 200 survived, and they had turned to chaos, the Terror Marines. In the intense war that followed many more Terramarines were killed, or converted to chaos. The Terramarines sent a desperate plea to the Dark Angels and other successors, and only their intervention prevented the complete destruction of the chapter. The Terramarines now seek to redeem themselves by the anniliation of the Terror Marines and assisting the other Dark Angels to destroy the fallen.
Organisation: Companies were split up into what they contain, with the Heavy, Mechanised, CC, Scout, Veteran and ancient companies providing all specialists, while HQ and Troop companies provide general command and support. This formed from different types training in different places , heavy+mechanised in open spaces, CC+ scouts in forest+ jungles and veteran + ancient(dreadnaught and terminators) training in training grounds in cities. This has hardly changed, but the veteran and ancient have been replaced with the Terminator and skirmish companies. Officially these are because veterans and dreadnaughts should stay in their companies for company pride and to continue what they have always done. This is true but these are actually their versions of the Deathwing and Ravenwing, the Holders of Truth and the Purgers of Lies as Terramarines often blame the DA secrets as the cause for their near destruction and are more open, especially with their own secrets, like that their high commanders items (a jetbike, and some of their artificer armour) were captured from Fallen who had only just re-entered from the warp, which the DA and other successor chapters don't know about.

Barakiel strided in. He bowed before the massive form of Methandes, the One, Purger, the Pious, the Vigilent, the Reckless. The Grand Master Of The Terramarines. "One has been detecked". Methandes nodded.
"One of the Weak?".
"Yes Lord, 10 Terror Marines".
"Prepare to assault"
"Sir... there's a complication"
"WHAT!"
"They have under command 500 traitor guard, and... well... they're led by a fallen."
"Request support"
"The inner circle?"
"Who else can we trust? No-one"
"Immediately sir"

I'll continue this later.

Azrael sighed.
Most Terramarines were OK, but what was up with their Grand Master, the only one he regually meet?
Ever sentence felt like he was blaming Azreal, his superier, for the Terror Marines. Blaming him for once Terramarines, convinced of their un-convertability and invincibility.
Their would be a initial Ravenwing and 'Purgers of Lies' assault. Even that name felt like a personal insult to their secrets and the way he said it... he knew Methandes said that in a way to complely ingnore it's other meaning, to Purge Choas lies.
The Deathwing and 'Keepers of Truth' would telaport in while normal marines surronded the foe. A winning tactic. But ancient Choas marines and elite Choas guardsmen were a foe any tactic could fail against... only time would tell.

Sergant Baalakai felt the weight of the roaring bolter. A guardman burst up, he had but a moment to witness the strenght of the Space Marine before ugly crators seared into his flesh. Baalakai advanced under whritering fire, but he was a Angel of Death, hellgun volley after hellgun volley glanced uslessly of his armour. Baalakai regreted leaving his helmet behind to asist with ommanding, he could hardly see his brothers, darthing from crater to crater, upholding the honor of the Emperer, he wished for a air filter as super-heated air stung his mouth and the pricks of light were blinding. Something crunched underneath his boot. Staring down he saw a traiter, utterly crushed, but laughing still... Baalakai horror meant he stamped on the trators head. Only in death did the insane cackling of a weak willed traiter cease.

Balthur roared forwards on his bike. He was one of the Purgers of Lies, Terramarines version of the Ravenwing. He was unhappy that the Ravenwing were deemed more reliable, and thus were relied upon to take in telaport homers. Still Balthur couldn't really talk about his reliabilty when he was meant to be in reserve but his sergent sent them out at the first sign of trouble, a armoured division who came across a wide defencive line, but Terramarines pride in their chapter and recklessness is well known. A shape loomed out of the smoke and Balthur was smashed backwards. He dimmly heard himself shout through the vox "I'm hit!" but as he regained his balance he realised it was just a flesh wound. He looked up and saw a mighty Leman Russ whose autocannon hit Balthur. As he aprouched he raised up hs meltagun. And fired. The Russ exploded in a terrific explosion. "Enemy down, enemy down"
he told his sergant. As he furter moved towards the enarmy lines he glimsed a lascannon bunker. He stormed towards it. He chucked a frag grenade ahead and the explosion stirred up enough dust to be missed. He got in range and began a full scale assault. He fired in his bike mounted bolters, and fired his bolt pistol at dark shapes. He threw in frag and kak grenades, and finerly, he fired his meltagun. Every traiter in that bunker died.

'The Silencer' was what his brothers called him. Master of the Keepers of Truth, the Terramarines branch of the Deathwing, he was the most skilled wielder of blades in the chapter, bar the Grand Master himself. 'The Silencer'. Once the name for his Heavenfall blade alone it had grown to represent him as a whole, after string of battles where traitors were silenced. The only other terminator who could truly wield such a blade was the one known as 'Keen blade', who would succeed 'The Silencer'. 'Keen blade' was unhappy with his nickname but until he gained the superiority of 'The silencer' he had no power to change it. (note i'll link this in with the rest of the story later)

Codex: Dark Angel
Colour scheme: Sergeants as my avatar. Other marines have Dark angel green helmets.
Only 200 survived, and they had turned to chaos, the Terror Marines, now a largely Terror tactic and traitor IG Legion worshipping various Gods. In the intense war that followed many more Terramarines were killed, or converted to chaos, as the pride of the Terramarines stopped them from retreating. The Terramarines sent a desperate plea to the Dark Angels and other successes, and only their intervention prevented the complete destruction of the chapter. The Terramarines now seek to redeem themselves by the annihilation of the Terror Marines and assisting the other Dark Angels to destroy the Fallen.

Terramarines rarely turn non-Space Marines into servacators for seeing secrets, they are organised into a secret police, administration and elite fighting force. Highly loyal to the chapter IG are sometimes promoted into the knowing forces, where their pride in the chapter keeps them quiet. However since an 'incident' less trustworthy people ARE turned into servicators, after the group spread into the normal population as a secret society, nearly alerting the Inquisition to their secrets. The society was viciously purged and declared as a Chaos cult.

Recovering from the effects of teleporting, 'The silencer' drew his beautiful shimmering sword. He stabbed the blade into the ground, and keeled to pray,
"May this blade taste the blood of the high traitor and silence his lies"
The bulky Terminator armour made getting up slow, but he was a veteran of Terminator armour combat, and could outpace normal humans when sprinting. He checked the clip in his stormbolter, and moved into the impressive fortress all the Chaos marines had holed up in. His finest squad, containing Keen Blade, a assault cannon, and three normal Terminators. They advanced silently inside, not for stealth, not liking each other or having difficulty talking to each other, just because they had fought together so long verbal orders were rarely needed. When they reached a split passage not even one word was needed, only one nod. 'The Silencer' now walked alone, into quite possibly the last place he would ever live in... He removed his helmet, and breathed in a full breath of air. Here it was foul, but this was his ritual and how he had always resisted the voices in his head. Another thing was to never think of what would happen if his rituals changed...
