now, I was bored today and decided I am going to make my own codex. I am not going to follow this through and actually make the army I'm just doing it for fun! The army itself goes into war, and wins sometimes, without even having to kill any of the opposition. The Idea for this army I'm sure lots of you will call stupid, but I thought it was interesting. Taking lots of tech from the year 2010, (or a bit into the future) I am using a lot of these weapons - http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010/01/sci-fi-weapons/8/
Including the nauseating weapon, the flash grenades, the active denial weapon and one of my favourites, the long range acoustic device. The thing is, none of these weaposn KILL. The army will be the elites of the imperial guard, which even have a religion (including the emperor inside of this religion) and they believe they shouldn't kill. The main infantry will use grenade launchers, the grenades themselves are flashbangs. Other types of infantry will be ones with tasers to take out armoured foe's (more powerful depending how powerful the armour is) and also the long range acoustic device (taking the form of a heavy weapon team) many of the weapons including the active denial weapon, long range acoustic device, nauseating weapon, use beams, where they pretty much always hit, and of course armour does nothing when there isn't a projectile. These weapons will auto hit, wound on a 6+ (incapacitate on 6+ more like) and no saves allowed, not much of the rules have been thought for but, believe me, this will be interesting!

how about a hq choice being pasafisti comandus the basic hq choice e.g warrior prime,captain,chaos lord

he has ws 1 bs 6 s 4 t 5 w 2 i 8 a 2 ld 10

gaunlet oh arisi
a crafted gauntlet it allows you to shoot a strengh 5 ap - assault 1 shot

Everything seems good but these bits, first rule I don't really understand, it makes the squad he is in worse? and the sword is a bit weak, but still everything else seems good. but WS1 is also quite low even with BS6..

Thinking of including riot guns, the ones that fire large bullets but the bullets have no point on them. Riot shields would be cool to (like large stormshields).

Lack of a point does not make a bullet less-than-lethal or less-lethal. Riot guns fire beanbags, extensible batons and rubber bullets, all at sub-sonic velocities... Somehow I don't think a fist-sized bag of rubber balls is going to hurt anyone in the 40k universe. Heck, I'd imagine even civilians would be immune to it :p

yes he makes his squad worse but only in close combat it encourages you not to get into close combat plus he was looking awesome so he needed a huge nerf

also heres a new walker

pasafisti dreadnought

ws, 10 bs 8 strengh 5 front 14 side 10 bottom 10

the pasafisti dreadnough is a shamed pasafisti warrior locked in a dreadnought he is almost indestructable when fought from the front and seeks to restore his honour

2 dreadnought close combat weapon
twin-linked dark sonica weapons

special rules
shamed
this dreadnought when destroyed will make all units within 12" fearless as there joy for there friend overcomes everything else

as soon as this dreadnough is within 12" of a target he must immediately charge 12" this unit
gaining furious charge rule ( note this will happen during your opponents turn too)

pasafisti: the pasafisti dreadnough is subject to the pasafisti special rule

the dark sonica can be fire 2 ways
dark sonica
str 2 ap- assult 15

or
strengh 8 ap- 2 rapid fire

edit everyone must re-roll but you dont want to get the guys in combat and thats there weakness e.g necrons phase out tyranids lack of ap 1 weapons

I worked it out on the Heresy Combat Calculator, they are pretty equal to a firewarrior squad of the same amount, me causing 0.5 wounds less.


Don't know if I should take out the auto hit thing, although I think it will be a good addition across the army to make them rather interesting ^.^
