only way i could think would be to pin the wire into the models' wrist/hand/arm (eherever the wire ends)
or to 'paint' the metal wire in a watered down pva glue, tho you'd have to be careful not to get any on the model itself (it could also create an icky fleshy look to it, which could be cool
