This is my first draft of a 1500 points Eldar list. I have made it from available models at the moment. What do you think? Should I get another Wave serpent for the last DA squad? Any units I should replace?

My plan is to put the FD in the Falcon and hunt for tanks. The footslogging DA unit, Avatar and Eldrad will walk up the board togheter with the WW and clear objectives/ hold them.
The last DA squad in the WS will get an objective and try to hold it.

The Quins will counter attack any assault units, or join Eldrad and the Avatar for som nasty cc damage.
Will use Eldrad to assist the Walkers, Quins and Avatar as a priority, but will also use him where he is needed.

If the falcon is for transport duty then drop the lance and pick either a scatter laser or shuriken cannon. Then add holo-fields as they dramatically increase the life of the vehicle.

Second drop the fusion pistols for the harlies and instead pick the troupe master upgrade. Definately makes the squad more killy as the pistols are so short ranged.

I would drop the avatar for a second serpent with twin lances, spirit stones and a dhuriken cannon.

"HQ seems solid to me, and is what I tend to use at 1500. Some might suggest dropping the Avatar, but I find him to be a good fire magnet and very destructive when he reaches the enemy. Problem is keeping both him and the harlies buffed will use up all his powers a turn, but then again they will destroy a lot in CC

Don't use them, but with this setup I've seen them deal a nasty punch, especially when Eldrad is tagging along.

Fire Dragons x 6

there's no reason to field 6 of these guys, 5 will reduce anything to slag in short order. I never use the firepike on the exarch because in general they shouldn't be farther than 6 inches from a tank when the disembark. So dropping the pike and the extra guy will give you point to play with elsewhere. Also while you can mount them in a Falcon, I tend to keep the falcon away from the main enemy force strafing them with fire where needed. You can send this into the fray w/ the dragons, but it might cut on its lifespan. Try it and see how it works for you :).

You're troop choices seem solid. At 1500 i like to have at least one more unit of troops. Usually a small unit of jetbikes to grab objectives or go tank hunting in rear armor w/ their shurikan cannons.

Heavy support
Falcon
Bright lance
Spirit stones

War Walkers x 2

As for your heavy choices, I find a bright lance on a falcon a waste of points. Its point heavy, and with the tanks BS of 3 it'll hit only half the time. I go scatter laser or ELM. The extra shoots/ the chance to scatter on the ELM can deal with infantry, while the pulse/ krak missile can take tanks if need be. Holofields are a MUST. They'll make you take so much hard to bring down. I'd forgo the spirit stone for it. This plays with the falcons trait of being a jack of all trades.

I don't use war walkers, but I hear that scatter lasers or ELM are best on them. Don't have the book on me, but if they can outflank or scout then I can see their usefulness. I'd consider dropping one unit, and pay a bit for more for a wraithlord, to add some MC strength and BS 4 to your command.

Niffty has a lot of good points. I think a wraithlord walking up with your hq/harly kill squads would rock. If you want 6 dragons fine, but I have found that the exarch is good for tank hunter abilities but not the firepike. I would almost drop both the exarch and warwalker set to field a wraithlord. As for the Falcon the EML works best in my mind. Its a str 8 or str 4 def weapon if you move 12". I just dont know much about Harly's.

Hope this helps

Will do. bought it second hand and it was already equiped with the lance, but will remodel it.

I can see your point regarding the pistols, but the TM for 20 only to get a power weapon?

hmmm, my shiny Avatar :shok: Will consider it.

Will be taken into consideration.

Will reduce the squad to 5.

Will see what I can go, will try to get the points for either a ranger squad or some jetbikes.

Will as mentioned earlies replace the lance. When the lance is away, it will be easier to get the holo field too.

I will see where the points get me. Would love to get a Wraitlord into my force. I have seen a guy I know play with 3 walkers with scatterlasers, actually played against them, they are realy naste if you get them in cover and give them guide.

Will try to squeeze in a wraithlord.

Thanks everybody, very useful!
Will try to tweak my list a bit taken your hints and tips into consideration.

Much appriciated!

Hmm, might try a list without the Avatar to boost the other choices and maybe add a ranger squad as well.
