i started 2 units of 10 for my undivided army and these are Fallen Dark Angels turned to follow Word Bearers

and i took Archaon legs and made it into a Word Bearers Lord with a hint of Dark Aangels because he has fallen to the words of Chaos

these are WIP and if you have any ideas how to make them look great let me know

I used Pure Red Primer by www.TheArmyPainter.com and then I washed them with Badab Black wash so it is starting to take shape.

The leader i am working on was made from Archaon gamesday legs and I made the upper body from green stuff covering a regular chestplate. The robe I have worked out with green stuff.

my word bearers will be working along side Abbadon and units of the other Chaos gods all sorta painted to follow Abbadon

Nice green stuff work, they look very impressive.
I would have liked to have seen a few more hoods but they look cool all the same. A tip with the red though, try using Devlan Mud wash instead of black, brown seems to give a better shade effect than black on the red.
Are you going to give them more paint work or are you sticking with the sprayed red?

Cool, i like Word Bearers and Dark Angels, and now some guy on the internet makes a cool mix of them? Why didn't i think of that?

I did just think of combining Thousand Sons and Dark Angels!

this is my Word Bearers colors so far, my only problem is how to paint the Heavy Bolter, do i paint it black and dry brush it or do i paint it silver and wash it
i am thinking i might outline the cloak with green to show they were once Dark Angels turned Word Bearers

i haven't thought about whether to just stay with the red and black wash or just leaving it

and the reason on why i use black instead of the mud is the black looks darker when it drys and the mud makes a redder red almost a blood red
which i will be using on my Khorne Figures

but you have given me something to think about
thanks
