lol Kidding GS looks good, I dont know if its my place to say this but as a Lord I really feel that the base needs a little more. Maybe elevation or something. It just looks to bare. The spikes are a good start but as I said i think its missing a little something.

Well I mean Im no pro by any means but I usually hunt on the net. I mean sometimes simply putting something like "Warhammer 40k Basing" into google search engine brings up threads on how to base certain ways. Try it out see if there is anything you like. If you want a hand hunting for something specific shoot me a PM and ill see if I can help you out!

slate is pretty easy to come by (posh people have nice clean bits on their driveways), and would elevate the mini.
Try model train shops too, they have lots of little bits that might be useful and are usually cheaper than GW products.
But as Chaosftw says, ebay is pretty good at finding you something

it been based all i got to it spray it and start painting it i have a good feeling it going to take me some time painting my new lord

Looking good, make sure to show us when it's painted!
Also with bases, if your too lazy to do it yourself, you can cheaply buy ready-made raised bases that look cool. Some are shit, some are amazing, but eitehr way probably quicker and easier. But hey, that's up to you!
