April 2014 Voting

Voting is open to all members of the Forum. All entrants must vote, and cannot vote for themselves.

Each member of the Forum can cast one vote in each of the two categories by posting in this thread:

Most Innovative Idea: This category covers the pure imagination that fuels conversions so is for the cleverest idea irrespective of technical execution

Best Executed Idea: As well as ideas conversions are works of technical skill, so this category covers the ability to make a converted model look as if it has always been that way irrespective of how ambitious the change was.

Voting will close at midnight GMT on 8 May 2014.

Vote do not need to include a reason but they are encouraged.

For example, I might put:

Most Innovative Idea: The Mod Team - the Conversion Deathmatch is a great idea

Best Executed Idea: The Mod Team - the Conversion Deathmatch has been run very well.

The current full rules and FAQ can be found in the Rules thread.

This month's entries are below. There are more shots of many of the conversions from other angles in the Entry Thread:

Note: Wookiepelt is not eligible for Most Innovative Conversion

my autarch conversion. I used both dark eldar and normal eldar jet bikes with bits from my dire avengers and the head is from a dark elf

Tugger

I ordered the FW Calas Typhon to use for my conversion. What I am going for here is an ancient set of terminator armor that has been sealed and mutated by Typhus' new allegiance to Nurgle.

GrimzagGorwazza

I had 2 current edition hounds and one old boy so i kitbashed the three together. Some detail filing, magnets and a little bit of structural work and here is what i've ended up with.

furyion

I'll be kit bashing two inquisitor models, one with hellrifle and one with bolt pistol and sword

Creon

Bretonian Hippogryph conversion. Started with Isle of Blood Gryphon, added Bretonian Knight of The realm kit.

Drohar

here is my version of Red Terror.

Wookiepelt

Needed a second Space Wolves Rhino but as per everything else, I like bits to work and look the part. So this month's conversion entry is for the hinging of the doors and top hatches on the Rhino, plus applying the proper SW icons on to the original doors.

This entry is not eligible for Most Innovative Conversion

Innovative - close calls this month, but furyion takes it - though shouldn't one of those knee pads have slipped down to his ankle?

Executed - Tugger. Excellent green stuff, excellent presentation.

Sorry this is late, and if it doesn't count I understand. I had engagement pictures on the 8th and completely forgot about the competition.
Most innovative: wookie
best executed: trugger (beautiful skulpting, I'm jealous :) )

You got your votes in - which is more than can be said for some - so I will sustain the intention of the large majority of people who did vote.

So, the winners are:

Most Innovative: furyion

Best Executed: tugger

Hey guys, I know I am super super-duper late on this, but I have been isolated in the middle of nowhere in Alberta. Just wanted to say thanks for the votes, and great work for all the entries.

I'll be home in a couple of weeks, and I am looking forwards to starting my next piece!
