Hi guys and girls.

I just wanted to ask everyone here regarding a scenario I want to do, and their opinions. It's not a big scenario, just one that I want a general consensus over.

Okay well, everyone knows the main marine transport is the Rhino. After looking at the Battle Sister Repressor, and wanting something a bit different, I'm considering buying a Repressor kit and making it into a transport for my Sternguard squad.

I would use the Rhino rules for it, just the repressor model, would anyone have a problem with me doing that? As long as I said it's using the Rhino rules, and I remove the pintle flamer and replace with a storm bolter (for the 2 storm bolters allowed in the rhino rule set).

Whats everyones opinions?

I've actually got a good friend who bought an old and used Repressor off ebay and is now in the middle of fixin' it up to use as counts-as-Rhino.

Linky for the WIP.

Can't really answer for the whole 40k population, but I think it would be ok for most players. The vehicles are similar.

Thanks guys.

Yea thats my arguement; it's based off a rhino chassis so should be all okay. I think the model is excellent, might be tempted to replace all my rhinos with them. See how the Sternguard one goes first. (And how much my wallet will take!)

Keep your opinions coming though.

Cheers!

This is my sternguard's ride.
My marines have a star wars clone army theme - the sternguard are my ARC troopers. The carni skull represents the mythosaur skull totem of the mandalorians.
The FW repressor bits don't fit at all well onto a rhino - they are a little too small and many gaps will need to be filled, so I built my own hull extensions out of plasticard.

In play, it is used purely as a rhino.

Sound idea, as Erinyi already mentioned I'm doing it for my Sterngards.

The way I see it it brakes down into 3 major points:
- The vehicle itself is a rhino chassi, so it has the same footprint.

- The kit can be configured, as you mentioned, to have standard rhino setup.

- It has a slightly higher profile than the average rhino so it could actually give your opponent LoS advantages in some cases. You gain a slight "LoS advantage" for one stormbolter (the one up on the top) and the other one is messed up completely.

Considering these points I wouldn't mind anybody, ever, using this superb vehicle instead of a rhino in any SM:army
