Does anyone have an interest in making alterations to marines? I'm thinking of changing body parts such as heads or possibly arms for something from a different race. Maybe mixing up fantasy and 40k ... Imagine orcs in terminator armour or marines with dryad arms. I know there are no rules for conversions like his but I'm in it for the creativity!

Creativity is good. There is a chapter called the Black Dragons who have various bone growths sprouting from their body and players who collect them often do this. Have you looked at various Possessed conversions for inspiration.

Originally the Minotaurs were part if the cursed founding.

They had a mutation that made some of them grow massive, they had some conversions with marines and Ork arms.

It has been done. Yours could be infected by a strain of daemon virus or even a Xeno virus.

It could be a catastrophic failing in one of their organs or geene zygotes.

There's loads of ways to justify it dude.
