Mechrite Red alternatives?

Sorry I don't have a tried and tested one, but Red Oxide type primers for metals are going to be pretty close.
Although some may be browner than Mechrite so its a trial and error jobbie.
NB. Test the stuff on sprue scrap before doing any minis, some will be a bit agressive on plastics
The only sure way is to get a cheap Airbrush and use Mechrite through it tbh.
