dear generals

a Friend of mine .. just quit playing 40k the other day..
gave me and my little brother worth 400 euro's old space marines
(and I allready own a small army of 5000 marines,blood angels and dark angels)

but my brother has made his own chapter that uses the space wolve look rules and so codex
Space boars .. erhm yes boars,... instead of wolfves he is using the ork boars ..
with mounted marine on them... and they look really madly insane!!!
i love the idea and from the stuff the friend gave us (the original bjorn the fell-handed included)
we made our own bjorn the fell-handed with all sorts of boar stuff mounted an him.

we also build the charcter canin wolf born
(flying of his boar with 2 lightnig claws and using the body of the blood angels character grim)
insane !!!

then we build 5 behind enemy line scouts..
with 2 plasma pistols and a melta gun
...

So what else should we build for our Space boar list(using the Space wolve codex)


currently we have this finished

Boar the fell handed (bjorn the fell-handed)
with twin-linked lascannon)
standing on top of 3 ork corpses

K-9 Boar born (canin wolf born)

5 Scout marine
with 2 plasma
and 1 melta gun
and 2 bolters

3 Thunder boars (thunder wolf cavalry)
1 with a power fist

10 Boars(ferasian wolves)

So what else could we build in the boar thema and more inportantly makes this army better!!

and yes his idea get me al warmed up !!

but what is missing in a tactical way?

well army wise you shound get some grey hunters, which them wise can stay grey hunters as in aged wise boars are grey. they are required in force org anyway. troops and all lol.

then some long fangs, also a group that the name doesnt change much, long tusks. but they are a must with missiles and maybe some transports.

thats all really. grey hunters, long fangs, transports. maybe lasscannons on some razorbacks.
i like 5 man squads of long fangs with 4 missiles and a tl lasscannon razorback. 3 of them. lets you come on 6 get them out behind the razor to block line of sight and still shoot lasscannons in say dawn of war missions.

also bjorn the fell handed works best with a plasma cannon due to his Bs of 6. plus its a free upgrade instead of paying for the TL lasscannon that hits on 2+ with rerolls and if you still miss you can re roll it again and you hit on a 6. its a waste but it sure does hit.

You should take some transports so you can model tusks onto the tanks. And some Terminators with the tusked heads from Chaos termies.

lol you have to use RAZOR-BACKs, lots of them. For added fun find someone who will trade/sell you some boar heads from fantasy orks and put them on the front.
