These lists are built around the idea of fielding a maxed out Heavy Support set of daemon engines and the like, plus some more allied CSM daemon engines. Then having a big monster HQ slinging buffs to keep those vehicles alive.

Fated Machinations

300 - Fateweaver
100 - Tzherald w/ ML2, Exalted Reward

108 - 12x Horrors
99 - 11x Horrors

180 - Soul Grinder with DoN, Phlegm
175 - Soul Grinder w/ DoN, Warp Gaze
100 - Burning Chariot of Tzeentch


CSM:

265 - Daemon Prince of Nurgle w/ wings, armor, The Black Mace

50 - 10x Cultists

170 - Heldrake w/ Baleflamer

200 - Forgefiend w/ 3x EPC

Fateweaver and the Herald throw Prescience as needed. Fatey uses his reroll on important, high-risk rolls like Grimoire, Daemon Weapon bonus attacks--perhaps less important things like a failed 2+ Soul Grinder cover, failed pen with Warp Gaze/Blue Fire of Tzeentch, a Gets Hot on the Forgefiend, failed Heldrake Reserves... or some important test. The list is designed to offer high-risk, high-reward single D6 rolls to complement Fatey. Grimoire will stay on the Chariot, mostly, to counterbalance it's fragility.

Similar, but Invisibility/Shrouded instead of a more reliable Grimoire and a second Prescience. I want to try combining Screamers+Shrouding to give them a 2+ jink also, since they're jetbikes, but might try to give the cover save (or perhaps Grimoire, if the Chariot's not in danger) to the DoT Torrent Grinder. In this list, no Mace Prince, but instead a Warpsmith healing the vehicles that need it. Or double-flaming fools, of course.

Any opinions as to which list you lot prefer? Any suggested tweaks? I was tempted to add some Helbrute formation (Mayhem Pack or Helfist Murderpack), but don't have the minis for those just yet...

Edit: tweaked both lists for small benefits.

Oh no I have evolved this list by fusing the two together. This isn't even its final form! I'm tingling. This list is a tourney-winner, this is.

300 - Fateweaver
75 - Tzherald with Grimoire

99 - 11x Horrors
99 - 11x Horrors

150 - 6x Screamers

100 - Burning Chariot
180 - Soul Grinder w/ DoN, Phlegm

CSM:

350 - Be'lakor

50 - 10x Cultists

170 - Heldrake w/ Baleflamer

175 - Forgefiend w/ 2x HAC

Shrouding on Screamers, Grimoire on Chariot, Invisibility on Forgefiend. 2+ cover on Screamers, Be'lakor & hopefully Soul Grinder; 3++ rerolling 1s on Chariot, snap shots only at Forgefiend, snap shots unless Skyfire at Heldrake... 2 Presciences, hoping to roll Cursed Earth on a Horrors squad for all-around army buff.

Alternative options:

- HAC and Prescience on the Heldrake to serve as excellent anti-Flyer for the competitive list. I mean, it already has Phlegm and a Burning Chariot for AP3, high S templates.

- drop the Forgefiend (since HACdrake can take over HAC duties) and drag in 14 Seekers (+1 Horror to Tzherald squad). Invisible Seekers streaking up the field beside Screamers to support their assaults. GLORIOUS.

This list could make some opponents very mad.

2 games in, with minor tweaks: have dropped the Screamers for a 2nd Soul Grinder. Want to get them or Outflanking Seekers back in, but that might have to stick to 1850 point games. Dark Gods above, the Soul Grinders can absorb a lot of punishment with only mild defensive babysitting, and even the Burning Chariot soaked up more than it had any right to as an AV10 3HP vehicle... ah, 3++ rerolling 1s. Fateweaver won me one game by nuking the heart out of a tightly-packed small-squad Astra Militarum gunline with a choice Sunburst, killing a big chunk of his points back with that one power, then lost me the next one with a couple compounded misplays and failed psy powers, which ended up in him getting squished by a Knight to cede the winning VPs (Slay the Warlord, Kill-A-Flyer card, Kill-the-Warlord card) and lose me 7-9. My own fault, as I learn to play this list, which has a lot of interlocking bits and finesse, a bit better.

This is going to be fun. I can't wait to play this in 2 or 3 different FLGSes.
