So for anyone that is interested, A friend of mine put this idea in my head the other day, about taking some daemon models and doing some conversion and painting work to make a squad or group to mimic the band Lordi. I'm looking for any thoughts and ideas for each of the band memebers, what unit to base them off of, and what to do to convert and paint them. For anyone that is unfamiliar with the band I've provided thier wiki link.

I am going mainly with their current set up of Mr. Lordi, Ox, Awa, Kita, and Amen. Yes I realize Kita is no longer with the band but I still want him in because he made the band what it is today with the help of Amen and Mr. Lordi.

Sounds like a Chaos Lord and a (small) Chosen retinue would be a place to think about doing this, maybe Slaaneshi. Either that or have them as champions leading squads but they will have more impact as a group.

Awesome, thanks for the advice everybody atleast I wasn't the only one to think that it was a pretty amazing idea.

Currently I play daemons, but I wouldn't be opposed to doing something in the CSM range either. The other possibilities I was thinking was with the new Dark Eldar stuff coming out, but I don't know how well that would work. I had been thinking about using a Daemon Prince for Mr. Lordi, but the rest never really came easily to me.

other than that, here are my suggestions:

OX: either Malagor the dark omen or beastlord with extra hand weapon (WFB Beastmen)
Awa: Vampire Counts Aristocratic Vampire
G-Stealer: Genestealer

Can't wait to see what you end doing! Ive been mulling over the idea of making a GWAR CSM squad. I think my wife is going to use the idea and actually create some Heralds for her daemon army resembling Oderus and the rest of the crew from GWAR. I'll post some stuff if we ever get started on the project.

I do like that, and as I do daemons I could just as easily pay points to make them into something for a faction, my only question there would be how to get Kita, Magnum, kalma, and Enary, perhaps

Kita: DE Homunculi?
Magnum: unsure
Kalma: CSM Biker
Enary: a Wych or even Eldar Archon?

hmm, So I was rethinking this a little, and one of my thoughts, came with the new Dark Eldar. The Archon has the choice of taking a court. I'd have to look at the rules but it would be an awesome to have a fully functioning Lordi band as a playable court.

So, I just wanted to put an update on this. I have decided to stick with the idea of using Lordi as an Archon and his court.

The models I decided to go with for the conversion are

Lordi: Archon
Awa: Spirit Host
Kita: Flayed one
Ox: Black ork
Amen: Tomb King

I now have all the models except for the Lordi model and I'll be posting WIP pictures soon of my tinkering.
