10 Main Battle Tanks, Plenty of Str 10 and high powered anti-infantry large blasts. Plenty of Anti-TEQ if you need it too. Jetbikes to capture forward objectives, and Fire Warriors to handle the homeground. Prisms can also flat out 36 up to contest objectives if need be. Skyrays to Markerlight the Air for the Hammerheads to shoot down, in addition to Seeker Missiles, should handle most air force or FLMC's as needed. Bel grants more Heavy slots if you are confused as to why there are 4 Prisms in a allied list.

Lots of Riptides what can I say? This list can handles anything form 2+ Armor to Flyers and AV 14, all while being very mobile.

Fireblades go with riptides and allow them to Ignore Cover and get Tank Hunters or whatever else is needed, they also pew pew deepstrikers that arrive from Reserve via Intercepter. Farseers ride with Jetbikes and form a 24 inch bubble for the Lords, Lords pew pew on whatever is needed, wreck stuff in CC, remeber to challenge since they are characters. Fire Warriors start in reserve and come on to grab backfeild objectives, and 1-2 squads advance afterwards to claim midfield, 10 MC's push into enemy deloyment. Obviously hide the bikes via Jsj, jarseers can detach if needed and join the Riptides, this is safe since you will have T6, T4, and T3 allowing you to choose which one to use (protip: use the T6)

Ninja Edit: We can still do the original idea, we just lose our Shuricans and our Spirit Seers

EDIT: Due to my lack of awareness we now have 342 free points to spend elsewhere. Prob some Hammerheads and more jetbikes.

Plenty of skyfire, just the right amount of anti tank, and lots of blasts for infantry and some plasma, more detailed tactics to come later

So here is a extremly durable test list, I have run something very simlier in the past to good effect, based on previous playtesting and the new units in the Tau codex I think this is the best Setup.

Technically Maguan Ra can be sub'ed for Kahandras, but since the new Commander has the Falcon Punch we don't need the STR 8 fist that Kahandras has. We can get by with the Str 7 Power hits from Maugan and benifet from his 36' range on his gun. The idea is pretty simple, cast Fortune, Cast 4+ Invul power when about to get in CC, otherwise keep BS Overwatch power up, Presience as well and your basically set. T6 Majoirty, 2 EW models, 1 T5 model to tank hits, 2+ Cover saves with Reroll, 2+ Armor with Re-roll, the whole unit will get 4+ invuls on top of that for units like Greyknights or Nids. The unit has Hit and Run, so once you start disengaging from combat you end up being flung 3d6 around. Since the unit is a Scoring unit with a number of high power ranged attacks (that can Split Fire). Because of the combined Psy Defense of Runes of Warding and a Psyker Master 3 character in the squad the unit is essentially invulnerable to a wide range of debuffs, Obviously you can always roll a 1 but the chances are in your favor, on top of everything the unit is also Fearless.

The bikes do what they do, hide somewhere and then zoom out 48 to contest/capture, the firewarriors just hide wherever they come on, if you give the Commander a Positonal Relay with the extra points you can even bring some troops to a forward position.

The Riptide is not required, but we do need some reliable AA to target some troop transports, otherwise you can simply do whatever you want. The Eldar doesn't have anything that is mobile with the amount of Firepower a Riptide brings nor do we have the points for a Broadside team with Skyfire, so Riptide it is but you can switch it out for anything you like, we have 228 points total to spend without the riptide.

The dual plasma on the Commander is mainly for two reason, perhaps you don't need to use the Sensor Suite or the Puretide Chip, now you have 2-4 more plasma shots than you did have, it is also able to be used on overwatch. The Suite and Chip only care about not shooting in the shooting phase, giving you more utility than you had prior.

Needless to say with the T6, and 2+ Armor/Cover you should be able to withstand anything a enemy army can throw your way. The unit itself is no slouch in combat and you have Monster Hunter if you need to it handle T5 or better. With the Wraithcannons, the Melta, and the Plasma you can also kill anything on the table as well. Because all your attacks are twin-linked due to the Psypower you can also perform AA if you really want too with reasonable success. Since the range of your guns is fairly short within the 12-18' range band (maugan is 36' obviously) most of the time you can get by easy enough by moving and running. Try to stick to cover if the enemy has lots of low AP. As a nice extra because you are running with 6 IC's you can (once you whittle the enemy down) then split them off to cover multiple vectors suddenly and unexpectidly, most enemies forget you can do that, and all of these IC's baring the regular Farseer are more than capable in handling multiple enemy units.

Because this unit is almost 20 models big you can actually spread them out amost the entire board width and just advance, very hard to hide from it. If you get stuck in CC by a large blob or TH/SS termies or something, simply hit and run, shoot, and re-engage.

Space Wolves are your only real threat due to their Rune Staffs shutting down the various powers. The only important one is Fortune, however since the Rune Staff range is only 24, you can move up and unload on the offending Runepriest fairly easy or back out of the range, cast, and then run forward, if he insists on hiding. Even without fortune you are basically a unstoppable force and can still facetank hits with a 2+/2++
