>> The character wouldnt get the same skill, as the assult squad are'nt classed as a retinue/bodyguard or whatever way you want to put it. Independant characters lose skills if unit they with doesnt have it, and vica versa. Could be wrong though. Sure someone will be-able to tell you for def though.

That's right. The only way a Librarian can have Furious Charge (or any other veteran skill-type Universal Special Rule) is to be accompanied by a Command Squad which has selected it. He then has to purchase it himself-- having the command squad with the ability enables him to buy it, but if you don't, the command squad can't use it for the reasons that Firewolf explained. There are some abilities characters don't lose when with a unit that doesn't have the ability and vice versa, but Furious Charge isn't one of them.

Short answer is no.

Firewolf and Son of Horus hit the nail firmly on the head. Command squads can 'pass on' vet skills to attached characters, other squads with attached characters can't, even if they have the skills.

And still give the Librarian the option to buy it. If you take "Blessed be the Warriors" as a trait, you can take assault squads as Elites which MUST take Furious Charge, and you have the option to give other units Furious Charge-- but in neither instance is the skill passed on to the Librarian, nor does it provide the Librarian the means to purchase it.

k, thanks for clearing that up, one more question, can you give a command squad jump packs (so i can give my "assault squad" furious charges).
So could i count a assault squad as a command squad?

Yes and No...

Any model which has access to the armory may buy Jump packs, but not all members of your Command Squad will have access to the armoury.

Now its possible to get upto 4 total models in a Command Squad access to the armory (Vet Sgt, Company Champion, Standard Bearer, and Apothacary).. that would leave you with 1 marine (in minumum squad size) without a jump pack. Now once that lone marine is dead your Command Squad would be free and clear to jump around so to speak. Of course that only gives you your character(s) and 4 guys with jump packs.. not as great as the assualt squad minus your character having furious charge. Not to mention more expensive as you have to give each of the specialists Terminator Honors to get access to the armory. Thats a minimum of 75pts a squad member... very expensive.

if the sergant gets termi honours (15points) the rest of the squad can get it for 10points thats the rule for command squad
Yes but the entire squad does not get access to the armoury.. only the specialists and the vet sgt would. Hence the rest of the squad would not be able to purchase Jump Packs.

To be clear, the short answer is no. If you don't bother with furious charge, you can give the librarian a jump pack and have him tag along with the squad. Furious Charge is good, but it's not really necessary most of the time.
