As I was looking over the cultist troop marines in the CSM codex, I noticed that the Thousand Sons rubric marines don't have close combat weapons. I couldn't find anything in the rulebook on whether or not this gave them any sort of penalty in close combat or not, though. Does it?

It's assumed they use their bolter stocks like clubs, or otherwise just "brute force" you in close combat.

It does mean that unlike all other CSM, they do not gain an extra attack in CC.

The thousand sons also lack grenades, which is a bummer due to their S&P. They always hit at initiative 1 when they charge :(
