Okay yall I've wanted to kit bash some Raptors for a while now.

So far I've got:
the jump packs from the new BA sanguinary guard

'nid gargoyle wings

Death company torsos

Khorne Shoulder pads

Sanguinary Guard shoulder pads


I've been having difficultly trying to find heads, legs and weapons I like. I was thinking about the Sang Guard weapons and modifying the bolters properly, what do you guys think I need some suggestions pronto.

You could use the Sanguinary Guard bolters as 'counts-as' Bolt Pistols, and you could use Possessed Marines legs? And then you'll have a range of suitably mutated CCWs, would fit in with the Gargoyle wings, mutated feel.

You could just use the arms of of the Chaos Space Marine sprue, or perhaps Death Company would be better? Chaos Space Marine possessed have some good heads but if you wanted less mutated ones then the regular Chaos Space Marines heads would do just fine.

I am using the gargoyle wings as the only mutations for these guys I like them clean looking. wierd huh?
I was thinking of using space wolf legs because it fits in with the fluff for my army (I will have to post that up sometime)

Yeah, I would go with either Wolf or regular CSM bits. Were I making Raptors, I would also use the Possessed Wings, rather than Gargs', but whatever. lol

While I'm not a fan of the paint job, I like the idea he had, and I want to put my own spin on it.

I only like Helmeted heads, myself, so I got nothing.

I agree with him, I have considered on many occasions ordering some heads from the fantasy chaos crew to throw their heads on my CSMs. I think it would look really neat. If that doesnt tickle your fancy though, I personally am a huge fan of the CSM head with the horizontal curved horns, like the standard bearer in this pic-

I also am a fan of the horns topped with a skull and the hornless model...

I did a set of 6 using posessed wings and ccw arms, csm bolt pistol arms, torso's, legs and heads. Came out ok.

The posessed kit is the best available. I am certain of it. If you buy a box of posessed to go with any purchase of csm's or bezerkers you can make some of the sweetest models. OK posessed themselves aren't too popular but it is everything else you can make with them that is great.

my issue is getting the possessed wings, they only sell them in twos on ebay, and thus i would rather get 5 jump packs in an auction for the same price the garg wings are cheap too. possessed wings just dont look as good imho. but thats me, i like some of the heads from that kit though
