Hey all, need some creative help. I'm looking to set up a Kill team narrative campaign and I'm having a hard time getting my brain rolling creatively to come up with the narrative. So I'm hoping I can get some suggestions or ideas or thoughts or bits of thoughts or whatever to help clear the log jam some. Right now the campaign includes 6 players (5 regular players plus me, but I'm the GM so... counts as needed I guess) with the following armies that being used:
Dark Angles
Orks and Orks
Space Wolves
Space marines

And then I have Chaos or Space Marines that I can use to fill in the campaign as needed.

So.... ideas?

My brain is kind of stuck in the mind-set of Dawn of War: Winter Assault story wise (Which was a great game no argument there) but that was a fairly straight forward and simple story and when you get down to it was designed to be a single player experience. So I'm thinking a "Grab the Mulligan device" isn't going to fit the bill for the 5 players. Appreciate any ideas or suggestions you can give.

Why do you assume that every faction wants the same thing? They could be there everyone for a different reason, but everyone in the midst of the other's plan! Until something happens in the closing games that give everyone a common goal.
Something like...

Space Wolves are engaged hardly against a rampaging ork invasion: they are overwhelmed and only by crippling the ork's mek labs they can have a chance to stem the metal tide of ork walkers and organize a coup to decapitate the ork "command" chain!

The dark angels are chasing a Fallen (chaos space marines) and their hunt leads them into a wartorn world. The Fallen is sneaky and slimy and plays seek-and-hide with the Angels, enraging them with red errings and fake leads, eventually disguising himself as a space wolf and infiltrating their ranks...

Orks would have long ago conquered this backwater planet once and for all...if not for a bitter infight. Two warbosses claim ownership of the mounting WAAAGH! as they are entangled into a show of strenght of untold proportions. This lasts until the two begin to simultaneosly harass each other with unprecedented means: sabotage and black ops! There is clearly someone alse's brain behind this turn of events...

Space Marines of the Invaders chapter arrives in the war thorn Sector. Being vastly outnumbered they seek a way to disrupt the Orks operation but in doing so they whitness the warp-spawned bestiality of the Space Wolves, the uncaring actions of the Dark Angels, driven only by their dark scopes and the treachery of Chaos. Clearly, there are no friends on this planet.

And so the war goes on, puncuated by many kommando operations from all the sides, until someone broadcasts the activation codes of many Vortex Missiles Silos scattered on the planet. The race to destruction begins in its full, while all the veterans and specialists of the various faction are trying to seize the weapons of mass murder for themselves!
