Hive Guard (Tyranid Codex pg 47) states "Target can only count the benefits of cover they are in or touching if it lies between them and the Hive Guard."

My question would be is a unit within the effective radius of an an Ork Kustom Force Field (KFF) considered to be in cover?

I would think so but wanted to confirm this...

Kustom Force Fields aren't cover, they're wargear that provides a cover save.

They're good against Hive Guard, same as smoke clouds, Shield of Sanguinius, etc.
