From my recollection of IW they didn't use cult troops correct? Same with Oblits/Daemons/etc. Loved them in 3.5 where they could take 4 Heavy Support. If you want to stick to the fluff I might read around to try and find more of their playstyle in relation to the army composition but otherwise what kazaddum said; seige specialists. I'd personally go for Oblits (but think that's against IW) CSM/Chosen in Rhinos but that's also me trying to be as competitive as possible.

Regarding Obliterators it's quite the opposite kirby- they were the first Legion to manifest Obliterators, and still generally have a higher than average complement than the other legions.

Khorne Berzerkers are a good choice for Iron Warriors, not necessarily as followers of the Blood God but to represent the supressed blood lust of the Iron Warriors (it's in their Index Astartes article that they're as bloodthirsty as the Blood Angels or World Eaters but in a colder, more ruthless manner).
Fair enough ^^. As I said my recollection was from a long time ago :p.
