Hi, this is my first post on heresy online and im going to start chaos soon but im not new to 40k I also play with nids. I know its kinda important but I dont have a codex yet, but it isnt out yet anyway.
Is the army set worth it by the way?

Thats always a good way to start, and a bit cheaper.

But you can build up from 1 HQ and two troops and see what you like.

The boxed set is truly excellent! Great figs, comes w/ the codex, has great options for kitting out a new army. Perfect way to start a force.

as the others have said the box set is a great way to start any army! Plenty of Chaos players of all kinds on the site too check out the Gallery to see some of the resident Chaos Lords minions.

and yes the boxed set army is a very good way, cheaper and gets you going with a legal army in no time. also a great way to start honing your painting skills, starting with the basic. check out our painting and modelling sections for tips on practically anything

Welcome spark, now is a good time to start Chaos, SM or Guard with all the APOC deals that are coming out for tanks. But yes a good place to start is the box set.
