I'm in the process of bulking out my guard army. I'm going for an all infantry army with sentinels because they are practically the same thing. I currently have 8 squads of standard guard, and enough special weapons for them. I've got a command squad, a lord commisar, a squad of Kaserkins, and heavy weapons squads.

I was looking to get some I'm planning to, in the near future, get 3 sentinels, a full squad of ratlings, and 2 packs of sanctioned psykers. Does anyone have any suggestions of other things that I might find useful.

Please keep in mind that my regular enemies are SM, and Tau, with the occasional appearance of Dh and CSM and most games are between 750-1000 points.

Well, I'm no expert on all-infantry guard armies, but Chenkov and a few squads of conscripts might be a good idea. Maybe throw a few priests in there too.

Creed and Straken are also both greatly beneficial to infantry.

Just remember to make sure you have enough ways of dealing with enemy armour, and you should do well. An IG infantry company can usually outnumber their enemies, and that does count for a lot.
