hi thought id update my paint progress.
these pics are of my hq sqaud and the hq squad to my drop troops (the camo ones) and the sentinal attached to the drop troops.

how about painting a red cross on the medic? That will really make it jump out.

yea thats on the to do list. i did have two little decals for that but they were quite old and did not want to shape to the sholder pad!!!

I have burnished gold or brazen brass - I would brass it up then drybrush the gold - will bring them to you tomorrow )

It all looks good so far but my personal opinion is that the models need a bit more. The banner is showing the basecoat through the paint so it needs another layer of paint I think. But even more so, all the models need more shading. There are no darker areas in the recesses to make the model stand out more, nor are they highlights on the extreme edges which will do the same thing. I would suggest adding the next colour up the chart or a very small amount of white to the paint being used and add some highlights to the edges to make them pop.

as for the banner i was happy for darker bits to show through as its like the folds.

as far as the models i stuggle with the highlighting side of things so i have not worried to much, however i will keep trying. i am looking at the moment for a standard im happy with so i can use them for gaming. maybe in the future i can to do some of the more advanced stuff.

at the mo im just not good enough!!!!!

some of the models could probably do with a coat extra paint or something, they look really flat. also, as wraith said, a little highlighting wouldnt hurt at all.
