I wouldn't risk it with the Thunderer/Destroyer. They're maybe 20 points cheaper, but sacrifice a turret, a hull mounted weapon, optional sponsons, a point of rear armour (except with top attacks), move-and-fire, and on top all of that, you need your opponent's permission to field it.
And you can't turn it into other LR variants with magnetized turrets and sponsons. That hurts too.
