I know this is a stupid question, but how does the system used fro dates in the codices work? I know 745. M41= A.D. 40,745, but what does 712801. M41 mean? What digits stand for what, etc.?

Thanks for the help.

Is that a specific date you've seen? In the novel "His Last Command" the dates were given as XXX.7YY.M41, where the XXX was the particular day of the year.

Clearly you didn't read much of the thread, then. :p

I got in on that one pretty early.
