Hey all,
I'm really new to this whole table top gaming and modeling thing, actually picking up after just randomly searching for a hobby. The whole painting thing i found appealing and well the background stuff, not normally my sought of thing but it grew on me and now i've started a little space marine army.
All in all before i keep trouncing on, just wanna say look forward to continuing this hobby and hopefully being able to contribute to this community you have going here!... :victory:

Welcome to the boards (I am new here as well) and welcome to the game (been doing it myself for over 12 years). Have you decided on what army you are going to play with or are you going with a do it yourself (DIY) army? As a fellow Space Marine player myself welcome to the fold! If you want to chat or have any question feel free to send me a question, I have been deployed for a year and am a bit rusty but I will help anyway I can!

thanks guys! and to djinn24 i've purchased the space marine codex and the rule book and like the whole trait system, so it'll be a DIY chapter (hope thats what you meant) with a focus on infiltrating and close combat (I'm using the take the fight to them and see but don't be seen traits).

Sounds good. I have to say that is one thing i really like about the new Codex! I can not wait to get back to the states so I can get to playing some games, it has been almost a year and a half since I have really been able to play a game. I hope you get into the game as much as I have (no not really lol, I have models laying everywhere). What colors are you planning so far for your models?

To djinn24, mainly rotting flesh with commando khaki for back packs and shoulder pad trimming, took a little playing around but definitely happy with how the first few look :biggrin:. I Haven't actually played a proper game yet, waiting till i build up the one i've got then learning with it. I'm looking at a HQ right now what do you think would be a good pick? i really like the chaplain, maybe with a jump pack?

And to Mad King George, not really sure what you mean lol?
