I'm Chris and I joined because every time i googled anything 40k and got something useful it lead me right here, time and time again.

I enjoy long walks on the beach at sunset, soft music and..

I'm from Perth, Australia, and as such don't have the largest group of 'hobbyists' to game with but manage to get by just fine with the odd friday night GW tourny . Been Playing for about 7 years now, but have only really understood the game in it's entirety for the last 3 or so.

My favourite army used to be Tau, i played a very earth style army and just liked it because i won games with it, but never really 'enjoyed' them. Now i play Grey Knights for pure fluff value and have gotten into converting like its going out of fashion.

My fondest moment was one of my first real battles with Tau at GW perth where a 12 man no fluff Fire Warrior team proceeded to decimate a full strength nid Warrior squad in CC.

Current projects are my Mammoth Tank and a few terrain projects as well as about 4k in Grey Knights waiting to be finished.

Anyways. Welcome to the Heresy man, its always good to have a fellow wargamer bolster our ranks of merry heretics.

Check out the tutorials and project logs sections if you're into the modeling aspect and if you're into the fluff check out the General 40K, Roleplaying and other fluff related sections. Not to subtract from all the good sections we do have here, hell check them all out.

Just be cool, follow the rules and you WILL enjoy the forums. Or me and my Eldar will find you... Lol.

Its nice to see a community this isn't filled with flame wars, trolls and spam for once.

And Bindi, the Mammoth Tank is my project to create some 'oomph' behind my Grey Knights other than my two Stormlords which hardly suit the AT role that i lack so much.

I plan for it to be between a third and a half times larger than the Stormlords but as such it is still at the rules creation stage as i am awaiting the parts to be shipped in.

Until then i may or may not post queries about rules on another thread somewhere, but once they do i will endeavor to get as much input as possible into a thread about its creation.

it's actually quite light hearted here, even the cynics aren't too bad

will have to keep an eye on your tank then, sounds interesting

From what I've seen, everyones real nice.. too nice in fact..

As for the Mammoth Tank, its having its fair share of bumps in the rules department, just about to start a thread on it.

In trying to keep it as strict to the Command & Conquer Mammoth Tank as i can, it seems a bit lacking in the weapons department as it only has two.. and when compared to a Shadowsword thats rather.. yeah.

Oh and Doelago, that was just poking fun at your average dating site introduction..

I like pretty much all music as long as it isn't '****** beats'

If i recall my C&C correctly the mammoth tank also had the defensive missiles. Loved that game.

Yeah they did, i count the turret as one, the missiles as another.
