i was just wondering what you guys generally thought of forge world's new old power armour models?

this isnt about 'theres only 5 for £20' its purely about the models, which ones do you like? which dont you like? why?

crusade armour: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm...nfantry-Accessories/MK-II-CRUSADE-ARMOUR.html
iron armour: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm...-Infantry-Accessories/MK-III-IRON-ARMOUR.html
maximus armour: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm...nfantry-Accessories/MK-IV-MAXIMUS-ARMOUR.html
heresy armour: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm...-Infantry-Accessories/MK-V-HERESY-ARMOUR.html
corvus armour: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm...Infantry-Accessories/MK-VI-CORVUS-ARMOUR.html

my favorate would have to be the corvus set, for a couple of reasons, beakie heads (ofcourse) and i feel the backpacks are by far the best out of the lot.

your turn guys and girls :D

Heresy-armour. It is reminiscent of Mk III Iron Armour, but less bulky. Also wields plenty of history, hence the title...

... Would also look rather sweet-ass on Imperial Fists.

boboss: heresy was a close 2nd for me, i do like the rivets all over everything, and it could make a very fluffy unit of sternguard vets or even honour guard if used rite.

davidicus: good lad! haha

none really, there all OK, but they missed out MKI and by the sounds of it have no intention of doing it, which would of been the only armour to interest me in spending £20 on.

It makes sense that they would not do Mk1 armour as it was not fully sealed; being an armour designed for fighting solely on Earth or an Earth-like environment. Something that is able to allow the wearer to fight in more than one type of environment is likely much better.

I've always like the Mk IV Maximus armor, there is something very beast like about the helmet. I also like the heavy cross straps on the chest. It's fluff is cool, being the most advance, top of the line armor that never got into full producion because of the Horus Heresy. I might use them for making a Pre-Heresy Alpha Legion army.

I really like the Crusade & Iron armors because the look like Plate Maile armor.

My favorite by far is Mk8 Errant Armor and I wish they make entire plastic kits with those torsos & helmets. It's what power should be to me. I'd love to do a whole army with them.

Iron and Crusade Armour for me..Iron just looks brutish and I'm a sucker for piping and such on Headgear/Helmets etc.
I'm getting some for my DeathWatch - themed Chapter, mainly for Sternguard units.

I went for the iron armor. Heavy and un-compromising in appearance. On the other hand as stated, beakies are classic.

but there toy soldiers, they don't need to breath in space to look good on a table.

Very much agreed with Stella. Needs more Thunder Armor.

I am a personal fan of Iron Armor, as I intend to buy a set of it for my Chosen. Hopefully. They just look so... imposing. Beaks are dumb, anyway.

I went with Mk II because that was the very first suit of "real" power armor. Okay Mk I was before this one, but that suit only had a powered torso. And the legs, arms and head were unpowered. The Mk II changed that, giving full protection through a fully powered armor. The Mk II also is very medieval in appearance, and though these suits are old, most of them aren't outdated at all. Because they are so old, and the original suits from the great crusade, most of the surviving suits have been carefully restored and upgraded to Modern Imperial standards. Hence I went with Mk II with Mk IV as a close second.
