Wash isnt really designed for large flat surfaces, but if you decide to ake that route you need a large brush and lots of water and wash and literally flood the panels, the streaks on your model look like the wash has started to dry while your applying it so its likely your were only covering a small area at a time with small brush.

Personally i dont think black needs a wash, after all its black so shade shouldnt be an issue.the trick it to only lightly dry brush the very edges of the tank and leave almost everything black as it came out of the can.


i did a very light grey dry brush on this raider and then picked out the very edges of some of the plates with a very thing grey line, it shows up much more in the photo due to the flash. but again very light dry brush and no wash, let the black do its job.
